Volunteering for Beachie Creek Fire Recovery Efforts

Are you looking to help your friends and neighbors impacted by the Beachie Creek Fire? Santiam SIT is coordinating a full array of volunteer opportunities, from stocking inventory at resource centers to cleaning up debris on properties.

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to aid in the immediate relief efforts of the local fires. Whether you’re helping serve food, collect donations, clean up properties or share Facebook posts, your time and effort is much appreciated.

Help at Disaster Resource Centers

Are you a hands-on worker who likes to help in a tangible way? If so, volunteer to help at one of the designated disaster resource centers for Santiam Canyon residents affected by the wildfires. Sign up here and select the tab for your preferred location.

Join the Santiam Canyon LTRG

The mission of Santiam Canyon Long Term Recovery Group (LTRG) is to assist individuals and families with disaster-related needs, participate in disaster recovery, and foster a network to provide coordinated response.  This group plays a crucial, informed role in the decisions being made for the recovery and rebuild of the Santiam Canyon.    The LTRG is actively seeking area residents with interest and ability to commitment for the next 3 to 5 years to one or more of the following LTRG committees.    For more information, please contact: eschrader@unitedwaymwv.org

Are you an outdoor worker who likes to put in a hard day’s work? Many property owners in the Santiam Canyon could use extra hands with property clean up and debris removal. If this fits your interest, sign up here and indicate the type of manual labor or skills you’d like to offer.

Donate Financially

The aftermath of the fires is causing financial hardship and grief for many of our friends and neighbors. For those with the means to give financially, cash donations are welcome.
