Santiam Canyon Long Term Recovery Group
The SCLTRG is a volunteer led organization consisting of a board of directors, one paid full-time Recovery Manager and numerous other individuals and organizations. Together, we make up subcommittees and the overall recovery network. We value local connection and investment in each one of our members & partners.

Recovery Manager
Colonel Retired Kevin Dial joined the LTRG as Recovery Manager in September of 2021. He ended his 35+ years of military service as the Deputy Director for Operations and Training for the Oregon Army National Guard. LTRG Subcommittees

Case Management
Recruit, supervise, train, and support case managers to assist clients with disaster caused recovery needs. Prepare and present cases to entire committee for consideration for resource and/or funding approval.

Unmet Needs
Leverage the resources of organizations with manpower, funding sources, materials, and/or connections that are available for distribution to meet the unmet needs of wildfire survivors.

Volunteer Management
Recruit, manage, and organize all volunteer projects. Work with Case Management to take requests directly from Survivors. Provide logistical support for volunteer work teams.

Housing
Partner with Case Management to secure rental, purchase and permanent housing assistance for wildfire survivors.

Communication & Public Relations
Increase the visibility of the LTRG by providing relevant and timely information to the community about recovery efforts.

Construction
Assess projects and provide materials list, skills needed, and supervision to complete repair and reconstruction.

Forestry & AG
Address tree removal, log merchandising, reforestation and future fire mitigation issues for residents in Santiam Canyon. Connects property owners to information and available resources.

Donations*
Procure, manage, and distribute in-kind donations made to the SCLTRG. Procure financial donations.
