Event Description: The Oregon Department of Housing and Community Services, known as Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS), released the preliminary Action Plan for the use of $422 million provided by the Department of Housing and Federal Urban Development (HUD). The effort, to be known as “ReOregon,” will support individuals, households and communities recovering from the 2020 Labor Day fires. Assistance will be provided primarily to provide new permanent housing in areas most affected by these fires.
Through June 1, OHCS will be soliciting public comment on the Action Plan to explain how federal money, known as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-DR), will be used. ). Members of the public will be invited to comment in person during the public hearing.
